This takes place Thursday 30th July at Central Library. Places are FREE but booking is essential.
Here is an exciting FREE opportunity for educators. Alchemy Arts will be hosting a one day workshop exploring how the Edinburgh Art Festival artwork, exhibitions and events can be used to stimulate projects and workshops with young people.
Participants will take part in hands on multi-sensory art activities with Heather Luccesi of Lightbulb Arts and explore how the EAF exhibitions and processes can be particularly beneficial when working with groups with additional needs. Participants will also be working with David Banks of Many Movements. David will be leading an exploration of on site commissions and the City itself as a canvas for intervention with young people, with particular focus on working with difficult to engage young adults.
Participants from a range of education backgrounds will be encouraged to bring their own knowledge and experiences to the workshop to contribute to what is sure to be a dynamic and stimulating creative exchange.
Participants will receive free Edinburgh Art Festival Explorers guides and activity packs for use with their groups.
Please contact Kate for more information or to book a place. And please do circulate this opportunity to your contacts.
