There are elections for all Edinburgh community councils this autumn. All current members will stand down - they are of course eligible for re-election.
Standing for election
Nomination forms will be available on-line from 5th September or from the returning officer*. All forms must be submitted to the returning officer by 4pm on 26th September. Nominated representatives may be appointed by local interest groups registered with Edinburgh Council. These must be voluntary groups whose governing bodies have majorities of unpaid (volunteer) members, which do not distribute profit among their members, and which provide services for public benefit not restricted to their members.
