You may recall that the City Centre Neighbourhood Partnership developed a Local Community Plan 2014-17, which includes the following priorities:
- Help people to influence decisions about moving around
- Promote opportunities to walk and cycle.
The City of Edinburgh Council wants to help even more people get around by bike as part of its strategy of encouraging healthy and sustainable travel. In order to do this it is working to create a city-wide network of ‘Quiet Routes’ using off-road paths, low-traffic streets and protected cycle lanes on busier roads. Please take this opportunity, if you haven’t already, to feed into this major route development which includes a large section of the city centre.
