20 mph consultation

Edinburgh City Council are currently consulting on a radical proposal to introduce a 20 mph limit throughout much of the City – including all streets in the New Town and Broughton area where there is not already a 20 mph restriction. The last day for sending in comments  is 17 October.  The consultation, the map and a reply form can be found on the City of Edinburgh Council website – http://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/20mph. Letter of objection re 30-30A Dundas Street planning application

Reference Application No. 14/02746/FUL & 14/02746/LBC

NTBCC has a number of concerns with this application and the suitability of these premises for the specific use intended. NTBCC members are aware that it has an existing permitted Class 1 use but the modifications required to enable its use (under Class 1) as a supermarket are, in our opinion, contrary to a number of LDP policies. Update on 34B Haddington Place development

A major new development is proposed for the gap-site next to the category B listed McDonald Road Library at 34B Haddington Place (Ref. 14/02115/PAN). This proposal was discussed at the next NTBCC (New Town and Broughton Community Council) meeting on June 9th. NTBCC also attended the public exhibition  at McDonald Road library later in June as well as the Friends of Hopetoun Gardens.
