Library research: photos, artwork and participants wanted!

Contributions to research into use of libraries are eagerly sought by Rachel Salzano, a researcher at Edinburgh Napier University’s Centre for Social Informatics.

Rachel welcomes two sorts of contribution:

  • Photos and artwork
    • Please take a photo or create a piece of art that represents why you use the public library.
    • If the ways you use the public library have changed since you came to the UK (if you were not born in the UK), please also take a photo or create a piece of art that represents why the ways you use the public library have changed.
    • You can submit as many photos and pieces of artwork as you like.
    • Photos and artwork are welcome from everyone!
    • Here’s Rachel’s example artwork: Prysm dragon and Percy

  • For her detailed research, Rachel will soon want to engage with refugees and asylum seekers in the UK.
    • If you know people who might be interested in taking part, or who might be able to spread the word, please ask them to contact Rachel.
    • Rachel’s email is r.salzano@napier.ac.uk.

You can read more about Rachel’s work on her project website, her Napier web-page, her own blog and her professor’s blog.
