Liquor Licences
The Licensing Board meets on 26 May, and objections must reach them by 13 May.
A new licence has been requested for Las Iguanas at 137-143 George Street (Ref 14/05145). This is next to Browns on George Street. As far as I am aware there are only offices above.
A variation has been requested by Bella Italia on Hanover Street (Ref 14/05228) to increase trading hours to 1am daily, and to allow restaurant facilities, receptions and recorded music outwith core hours (no alcohol will be sold outwith core hours).
I do not propose objecting to either of these.
Previous months
Our objection to the trader’s licence opposite St Mary’s Cathedral (Ref 14/02867) has been acknowledged (we requested that the hours of operation be restricted to 10pm, not 1am).
Other – tables and chairs’ permits
The links to the lists of licences originally supplied to us recently failed to work. The new links are:
- directory listing of valid tables and chairs permits (together with the file download of new applications)
- guidance information / application pack.
