Notification of major gas replacement works: Raeburn Place area, Edinburgh Update 10 April 2020

(copied form an email from SGN, received 17:42 on 2020_04_10)

We’ve been working on the final stages of temporarily reinstating the road surfaces and tidying the sites we’ve been working in. The road in Raeburn Place has been reopened and back to 2-way traffic. The buses are operating the East and West route service.

We will maintain our localised compounds in the area during the suspension of our works.

We will continue to operate the 24/7 National Gas Emergency Service across Scotland during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our engineers will continue to attend properties and make the situation safe, as always. We have extra safety precautions in place to make sure you and our colleagues are protected from catching or spreading the virus. Our engineers will wear protective equipment, including gloves and a mask, this is to keep everyone safe, as well as our colleagues.

We’re committed to keeping our key workers safe, as well as the families we visit, as we respond to gas emergencies. We’ll continue to follow all Government and public health advice on precautionary measures to reduce the risk for our people and our customers, including providing colleagues with guidance on social distancing as well as additional personal protective equipment.

Stay safe and well.

Kind regards
