Resurfacing Bellevue Gardens footpaths and road surfaces

(adapted from an email from William Kearns of Edinburgh Council)

Both the footways and carriageway along Bellevue Gardens will be resurfaced soon. This work is scheduled to begin on Monday, 27 November 2017 and should take four weeks to complete. (This may need to be extended due to weather and any unforeseen circumstances.)  The Contractors operating times will be between the hours of 08:00-17:00 Monday to Friday.

To allow for the safe execution of the works, a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) will be in place to close off the junction to Bellevue Gardens and suspend on-street parking where necessary. It is planned to keep Bellevue Gardens opened for the most part of the works and only suspend parking where necessary. However, for about a week, vehicular access will be denied with the main junction being completely closed to through traffic. During this time, vehicles will have to park outwith the closed off areas or in driveways. The parking suspensions and road closure are required in order to facilitate getting the work done whilst been carried out safely.

Every effort will be made to minimise disruption and noise, but unfortunately some is unavoidable during road works. Throughout the programme, emergency vehicle and pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Where possible, access will also be maintained to residential properties.

Please contact me if you require any additional information about the works.
