Update on Proposed Works on the ‘New Town Quarter’ Development (28 October)

Adapted from email sent on 28th October to the New Town & Broughton Community Council and local residents’ groups on planned activities on the ‘New Town Quarter’ development in the coming weeks

  • The internal garage buildings which border the park will be demolished by the end of next week. The heras fencing on the park side has been extended to provide safe working and exclusion zones and has been agreed with the Council. Once the buildings are gone, the fencing will be put back to the original site demise.

  • The Data centre demolition will commence on Monday (1 October) with the high reach machine.
  • The demolition contractor is in the process of getting an information and contact board put up at the corner of Dundas Street / Fettes Row.
  • Condition survey reports should have been posted to all who received one and be with residents by the end of the week (as all posted by recorded delivery).

Further updates will be posted when received.
